Down to a Sunless Sea


It was cold, muddy and  it had just started to hailstone but I just had to clamber down the bank for this shot.  The  bush was almost completely encased in paper and bags, you could almost feel the movement and force of the water that must have swirled around it, depositing all the debris. The blooms of colour are actually something to do with the hailstones hitting the filter I think but  it gives it an essence of otherworldy and a slightly spectral feeling. It was the only shot I got today but hopefully it was worth the weather and failed attempts, oh and very muddy shoes…
